Continuing a proud tradition of exciting covers that have almost nothing to do with what’s going on inside! This is something of an homage to the original Marvel Transformers Issue 5 cover with a beautifully-painted Shockwave standing in front of a wall where he has just carved “Are All Dead” directly underneath the “Transformers” Logo. This was a striking visual, whether you are 5 or 35 and remains one of my favorite comic covers to this day. I think it also has a lot to do with the bad-ass mytique Shockwave has built up over the years and is a great contributing factor to him being such a fan favorite. As you may notice this is the same comic is homaged again when Jayce is reading it later in the issue.
