With the exception of Hailey, Dr. Reilly Marnel is probably my favorite character to draw. He’s really taken on a life of his own since I started drawing him. He’s a little Jon Pertwee and a little Rooster Cogburn. If he were riding a dinosaur he would be the coolest thing even imaginable!
By the way, if you’ve forgotten the filmstrip Hailey mentioned you can go back to where the characters watched it here in Issue 2.

I think something is wrong with this page. There is no violence or unnecessary upskirt shots. How could I be involved with the creation of this page?
I definitely see the Pertwee/Cogburn influence! Love his design and you use shading really well on his face. Not sure where this is going, but being lost on an island can only cause trouble. Just ask the Skipper or Jack.
Like “Lost” I will probably never explicitly state the real name of either the island or Dr. Marnel, however since knowing them wouldn’t spoil much about their roles in the storyline, I’ll actually give you a few hints:
1.) Dr. Marnel’s true identity is right here on the page. Arguably the island’s too. (It’s all in the name.) You’ll probably know if you figure it out cause it will make you go “UGH!” Just don’t spoil it, please.
2.) It’s not entirely by accident he looks like Jon Pertwee or that there’s a “Brigadier” in the series in charge of a secret paramilitary organization. (Although I had originally intended him to look like Tom Baker. Just a happy accident!)
3.) This scene sets into motion a sequence of events that will take the entire series to play out. (In fact, this scene is taking place simultaneously in both Issue 6 and the final issue [which will probably be #39]. Does that make your mind wobble a bit?)
