Ahh!! Here we are at the beginning with what I’ve felt for a long time is a pretty half-assed cover. Oh well. It was still one of my best cover attempts up to that time.

The alien gibberish on this page is actually the lyrics to “Make Your Own Kind of Music” in a supposed Romulan font.
This is probably one of my best integrations of CGI and illustration. Looking back, I bet Shoji’s transformation into Beacon was a little confusing since it both happened “off-screen” and didn’t get explained until issue 4. But that’s okay. It was confusing for Shoji too.

Whoa! Giant space monkey monster man comin’ at ya!!! This was the first page I tried with full bleed. I guess it turned out okay, but I’d have a lot more luck with working in full-bleed once I got to Issue 5.
