It’s not easy to work in a “Sopranos” reference in sci-fi webcomic that takes place in 1985, but I did manage a visual homage at least based on the season 6 poster shown to the right. If you look at who I put in the place of the corresponding “Sopranos” character, you may receive some spoiler-iffic insight into the eventual fates of the Radicals characters. Or, just as likely, I am completely bull-shitting you.

Zing!! And there it is… Like every big sci-fi franchise, the Destiny Helix Universe has a Dark/Mirror Universe. Not that everyone’s the exact polar opposite of their Prime Universe counterpart. Not that the Destiny Helix Universe is even necessarily my multiverse’s “Prime” universe. I’m really enjoying doing this issue so far. I’m up to page 20 on the Pencils and without getting too spoiler-rific, one of the things I’m really enjoying is drawing everyone in more “costume-y” outfits as opposed to the color-coded civilian wear I’ve been sticking with in the main universe.

Forgotten about Zperdoch and Beacon, hadn’t you? This is arguably the raciest page I’ve ever drawn. Another one of those that even made me kinda uncomfortable to draw and I did a couple different drafts before I decided on the level of clothed-ness of Jayce and Angelique. Angelique is a lot of fun to draw and write and I kinda wish I had more time to focus on her, but this issue was really written to showcase Hailey and Chuck. Sometimes I regret not fluffing this story out to multiple issues, just so I could develop the Dark Universe versions of everyone more. That’s not to say we’ll never see them again, but I also felt it might confuse people to develop the Dark Universe version, when the Prime Universe versions had barely been introduced.
And don’t forget to vote:
